This painting was my response to accepting parts of myself that I wasn't allowed to express when I was in the mormon church. Various symbols in the painting mean a lot to me, such as the headphones for my recently diagnosed ADHD and the wedding ring, which represents my wonderful marriage to my wife, something the mormon church heavily frowns upon.
What I was told to be growing up in the mormon church is not who I am now. And I am better for it.
